Originally Published on Jan 3, 2016 Video is from the afternoon of Saturday Jan 2, 2015, launched the kayak, met up with friends, picked a couple fish up over the course of the day. I ended up with a nice Bluefish and a couple Striped Bass, missing a few others. At dusk the herring got real frisky and at times were swimming onto shore chasing 1/4″ baitfish. At the very last hint of daylight I got a bite on a live Herring and landed my first fish from the Beach in 2016, a fat 31″ Striper. Make sure to check [More]

Got hit, drag start screaming, Wahoo on the deck…. an hour later, in 260 ft, I put a pilchard out, got hit again…Mahi!! Another hour past by and I decided to do some jigging. First cast…Kingfish on! Originally Published on Dec 22, 2012 I caught this big Bass in December 2012. She was 46″ and had to be at least 40 lbs. After I hooked her, except for a short pause in the beginning, she ran off line for just over a full minute. Crazy!! That gave me plenty of time to deal with my second rod.

Originally Published on May 3, 2014 Kayak fishing for bluefish with live bunker out of Sea Girt, NJ. This was the very first bluefish I ever caught and it was from my kayak. I wasn’t prepared at all. All I had with me was my trout net. I couldn’t even fit half his body in the net so I had to scoop him into the boat with it. Then, there was no room for him. So he and his mouth of teeth laid there right between my two legs.
