Originally Published on Jun 9, 2013 In this video we land a nice red drum and a trophy speckled trout! We caught a ton of large catfish on this outing, which is going to be pretty common when fishing the Indian Pass Campground area.
Originally Published on Aug 19, 2012 Here I catch a 40 lb. Pamlico Sound Red Drum from a Kayak! I’d like to give a big thanks to Mike and Seth Wooten for their business and kayak fishing insight. This is my very first time ever in a kayak…not too shabby (thanks to their help). We hooked 3 and landed 2 bull reds this afternoon. Sorry I couldn’t get a great close up shot of the fish…tough to do with a GoPro in choppy water while being pulled around by a giant drum.

Originally Published on May 12, 2013 I take my son out to catch some sharks for his birthday but we end up with another of his favorite fish. Actually, all fish are his favorite, but we regular catch bull reds earlier in the year. This time we mistake a red for a shark. Thanks to Cobra Kayaks and Saltwater Soul.
Originally Published on Jan 6, 2013 Back to back Bull Reds from the pier, caught solo. It can be done, and here is proof. These fish are both between 25-30lbs. caught solo and released. Both caught with 11/0 circle hooks and on mullet steaks. [He was fortunate that the 2nd red waited till he had landed the 1st before hitting the line.] All rights of song belong to: Joel McNeely “Last of the Mohicans” Copyrighted by Varese Sarabande Records Inc.
