This was the Virginia trophy Rock season a few years ago, all fish caught on fresh peelers. 8/0 Gamakatsu circle hooks on fish finder rigs. We couldn’t get every fish on video they hammered us so fast. Best day on the surf we ever had.

Originally Uploaded on Apr 14, 2011 Today my friend Bob and I went out surf fishing south of Jax FL. The surf is just now heating up with fish but a bit to early for cobia, sharks, and pompano for this area. We still has plenty of fun and food with whiting, bluefish, and a big mystery fish you have to watch to find out. The bait today was shrimp with a magic extra ingredient, and cut mullet. Nothing took the big cut bait all day. Water temps are still cold which lead to us not feeling out legs frying [More]
